1973. The song Stir It Up was composed by Bob Marley & recorded by him & the Wailers in 1972.
- John Lester Nash Jr. (Aug. 19, 1940 - Oct. 6, 2020) was an American singer, best known in the US for his 1972 hit "I Can See Clearly Now". Primarily a reggae & pop singer, he was one of the first non-Jamaican artists to record reggae music in Kingston, Jamaica. Nash was born in Houston, TX.. In the 1950s Nash sang covers of R&B hits on a local variety show & radio & TV programs. In 1966, 1967 he went to a Rastafarian party where he met Bob Marley & The Wailing Wailers who were performing. Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh, & Rita Marley introduced Nash to the local music scene...

a week in Jamaica. Sailing, snorkeling, partying my ass off. All the locals I met were friendly. Country was poorish, but no Haiti.

beautiful island with warm people, natural beauty, great culture and lots to do.

I want to go again! But that's unlikely, I've visited twice and the special memories remain vivid.
