a more intimate, more heartbreaking sense of lonliness. It really stands alone in that, and as much as I like Randy Crawford, I must say that I like Brooke Benton's version even more.
He was nominated for a Grammy for it for Best Male Vocal performance. The song itself was composed by Tony Joe White.
