I LOVE Joe Cocker. THAT VOICE. Some of my faves:

"When the Night Comes"

"Now That The Magic Has Gone" (Brings me to my effing knees.)

"Shelter Me"

"Don't You Love Me Anymore"

"Night Calls"

I never understood why the producers of "The Full Monty" used Tom Jones' version of "You Can Leave Your Hat On," instead of Joe's. The movie is supposed to be set in Sheffield, England. W H O is Sheffield's greatest son ? Joe Cocker. His version of that song just kills.

Thanks for this. I needed me some Joe tonight.

This song always hits me. It's so haunting, ya know. And Joe doing it? Phhhhh. Good god. I really did cry. You seen the vid of Leon, Willie, and Ray Charles doing this together? I literally weep everytime I hear it. Apparently I'm getting softer with my age....

My 20 year old self would kick my 47 year old self in his ass if he caught him crying to Leon Russell tunes!

But you still to cling to that younger you. At least I do. I'm not aging gracefully. I'm fighting it fuckin tooth and nail! To no avail of course....

for a couple of my college years. His voice can both bring tears and make the hair stand up on the back of my neck.

If ya can't get into Joe, just get yo' ass on outta here.

I'm pretty damn good at what I do. But I'd be damned if I thought I could bring people to tears. Such the shame as an artist, ya know? I've killed myself to be that guy, but only so many are that blessed.

I always like listening to Joe Cocker.

I used to try and do Joe's act from Woodstock singing A Little Help From My Friends
