and was very fortunate to have his son (Peter Michael) and daughter (Sheila E.) show up and accompany their dad... huge night for my tiny little nightclub in the Bay Area.

same lady as in the documentary here... and a big part of one phase of Prince and the Revolution (Purple Rain).

watching her and her brother switch places back and forth mid-song on the bongos was magical... did it in the middle of a percussion solo without missing a beat.

Earth Wind & Fire is such a treat. James Brown was my traveling music.

I used to have a friend as a kid who would dance like James Brown in Cold Sweat pretty good too
And just saw Clinton again this last summer . Said he is finally retiring (we will see..) but still putting out new tunes
I would have included some left out 70s like Chic but I guess that is really when the disco cross over came in (dance) but c’mon Rodgers guitar and Edwards bass was funky stuff in songs like this imo
