Love the lyrics on this song and the production is pristine - Good headphones and high volume for this one are recommended.

Any recording that includes Charlie Musselwhite is a treasure for the world. The 2 albums they released are amazing - here's a taste

He broke on the scene as a sort of Neo Soul Hippie Reggae hybrid that I thought was pretty over hyped at first. So I didn't really like "Steal My Kisses" or "Burn One Down" when I 1st heard them... I get it now, and I admit that I can be a judgmental ass sometimes (Often - my wife corrects me when ever I admit that).
But I appreciated this song from that period the very 1st time I heard it and this is the song started my process of correcting my opinion about Ben's work

Listen to "I Ride at Dawn". When does Charlie Musselwhite come in on harp? When the song needs him to. Otherwise he is quiet. I play harp too and I when I offer to jam I often have to explain that I know the value of silence.

So low key and ON. TIME. On an understated tune Like I ride at Dawn, but ready willing and able to power through a swamp boogie jam like this one:
