We were outside tailgating and heard the sound check. This was in the Old Spokane Coliseum, affectionately known as "The Boon St Barn". They had a hell of a rime with the echo, which most bands just ignored it seemed. Probably the lowest volume show I ever saw. Loud enough, but just barely.

.it is a place I would never have gone on my own..but one of the band players, base guitar, from my home town, Apoplexi, was the name of our local band - invited a bunch of us to see the Cars...

And this is one of my favorite songs of theirs.
Not many bands had two great vocalists.
