Gentle On My Mind was so successful he didn't need to make money anymore. Also he said music kept getting in the way of his true love, being a riverboat captain.

And thanks for posting the clip of Max Gomez playing Tall Buildings. I’m gonna have to check out his other stuff now.

An old friend of mine, long departed, used to cover Tall Buildings. It’s one of my favorite Hartford songs.
