jason isbell & 400 unit - alabama pines (2012 americana awards) - something about this song ...

it's always kinda hit me like a brick ... I don't quite know why ... maybe cause there's been a few family funerals where 'take me home, country roads' was sung, and it's a little bit like that song ...

He played a song called "Overseas" which he's only played a couple times live, and he played "Maybe it's Time" from the "Star is born" movie.

He played a bunch of older stuff that was great "Alabama Pines" "Cigarettes and Wine".

He also performed "Running Down a Dream" during his encore and they killed on that cover!

Gotta get you over here during his Ryman run man, it's always an awesome week.

I'm sure the outro was rockin as fuck ... lol ...

He play GD Lonely Love or Outfit? Those are my two fave DBT/Jason songs (though they're all great).

Overseas, eh? I'll have to look that one up.

Yeah, man I'd love to see him at the Ryman ... doubt it ever happens though, sadly ...

I think he's been alternating between it and GD Lonely at shows lately.
