I'm a 48 year old x'er. I just roll wit me own drummer dig? Permit me to give a demonstration of sick in my understanding.

After viewing that, I'm sure you will agree that Ron Wood's tone and riffs are "sick" and that Rod's vocals are just so so "sick".

Truth be told, that was the nomenclature among my mucician friends and myself a few years back and it's become part of my vocabulary...

I know because I used to sing lead on that in one of my bands and developed a way to count it without getting lost. Takes a big breath to get through all of them!

Bill Withers is one of my all-time favorite songwriters, no doubt, and this live performance shows a band at the height of their powers. Thanks for posting, Glamrock - we’ve missed you.

Love that man. One of the few voices that stopped me dead in my tracks the first time I heard it.

I really discovered him about 10 years back and incorporated as much of him into me as I could...vocally speaking. Love Bill. Never thought in my twenties that I'd still be picking up influences in my 40's. Crazy but beautiful. My twenty year old hair band self would absolutely shit himself if he heard me now. LOL!

Joe Cocker also had that "Hey---listen! This is real!" quality for me.

Also Connie Smith, Mavis Staples and..Gordon Lightfoot. Joe Cocker was an acquired taste for me.

Tom Waits' voice has that quality too. Although, I will caution, he is an acquired taste....

Thanks so much for that! I took a promotion this year that just about wrecked me. But I made it long enough for the powers that be realized there needed to be a structural change and I've now got freedom!

That really means more than you know. I've been away for months and months. To receive a welcome back like yours just totally warms the heart if I can be cheesy for a quick sec. I'm sincerely touched. Thanks Allie!
