Man, I am so stoked to be on a board where Captain Beefheart gets posted - WOW! I used to listen to him as a kid, was into Zappa and ran across him and I was hooked. It's been so long, I don't really remember the songs - but I remember an album covered with roses that had some totally awesome music from him.

Anyway, any fan of Beefhearts' is someone cool. Glad you are here and thanks for sharing. Think I may have to go see if I can find some of his music on Spotify.

I produce and host a radio program on community station 90.7fm, KSER (Everett, WA) or www.kser.org on Sundays at 1:00pm. I'll play another Beefheart tune in his honor.

Hope the people who listen enjoy the tune, he is definitely unique.

Didn't he have a song - Weasles on Parade - or is that a Zappa song, or just something my brain linked up erroneously?

The surreal imagery of his songs was unique to say the least. Think he was one of a few people Frank Zappa looked up to.
