This billboard has appeared in an episode of The Monkees. Oh, I see I made that edit, in February 2011.

"Monkees at the Circus" is not only a direct tie-in with The Marx Brothers, it also references the 50s TV series CIRCUS BOY, which of course starred Micky Dolenz, who frequently sings the theme song and does a spot of juggling. Davy wants to help a destitute circus owned by Pop (Forrest Lewis), mainly because of his pretty daughter (Donna Baccala), but must convince the underpaid performers not to follow the lead of knife thrower Victor (Richard Devon), who wants to quit. Victor blames rock and roll and discotheques for the drop in attendance, so The Monkees bring back the crowds by doing what they do best. Apart from the second appearance of Boyce and Hart's "She," we hear the debut of the exquisite "Sometime in the Morning" (recorded Oct 13 1966), composed by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, and produced by Goffin, King, and Jeff Barry (from the second LP). Broadcast no. 22 (Feb 13 1967), "Monkees at the Circus" was 24th in production, filmed Dec 9-13 1966.

This is footage from the episode "Monkees at the Circus" with the album track "The Poster". I thought this would be a good match being the song is about going to the circus.

When an old-fashioned circus company faces extinction, The Monkees step in to save the day. Songs: "Sometime In the Morning" and "She".
