whenever the hell that was! I have a few of their songs in some of my "workout" tapes. Not doing aerobics or jogging kind of workout, vocal exercise workouts. I do it at least twice a week during dormant periods, two hours. Their music has great legato parts so that helps with my breathing strength in keys that can be awkward to maintain.

But I just like their sound, it's unique and seems kind of timeless which enhances the impact of the lyrics, as it should be. I liked some of Depeche Mode's stuff too, actually I like a lot of the technopop from the time.

This my favorite of Talk Talk's music. I have to just stop all motion when I hear it, like suddenly falling under a spell. Some music does that to me. I hear it, recognize it and have to just stop and listen to the end of the piece whether its contemporary or centuries old, no matter what I was doing.

These dudes were underrated ... kinda like Crowded House ... unless you're in New Zealand where they're like The Beatles.

This is a good song and they were one of the better new wave bands (not really technopop ) of the time I'd say.

They started doing some much different, less poppy stuff in the late 80's/early 1990's that's definitely cool, original music, though not as catchy as the early stuff. Albums like Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock.

Anyways

I'm not one for recalling genre labels though I am sure you're correct that they were more New Wave (like I'd fucking remember that! :rofl . I just know it was released when I lived in SoCAl and my sister and I liked it back then.
