(12,904 posts)1. Hubs and I did a drive by of the Charlie Parker memorial last weekend.
We hadnt been down there in a while. There were lots of people milling around, checking out the BLM mural that had been painted at 18th and Vine.

Got to see Charlie Byrd from about five feet away at a front row table at the Maryland Inn back in 1977 and, if thats not a close enough connection, apparently my late ex-mother-in-law dated him for a short while a few years before.
