1. Not to bash one of the East Bay's own, but this is a pretty objectively terrible song ...

Esp. when you consider that REM-Murmur, U2-War, Violent Femmes, The Cure-Pornography, The Smiths-The Smiths, The Police - Synchronicity, Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues, New Order - Power, Corruption and Lies, Prince-Dirty Mind, and Eurythmics-Sweet Dreams ... just as some examples ... were all either just out, or around the corner.

Their other song from just a bit later (iirc) was ... less annoying. Their big hit, I forget the name. These guys and Berlin ... so similar, both crap. Sorry

Finally dawned on me the other song was 'Suddenly One Summer' or some such, yeah? That one was aaaight. Def. takes me back ...

And they had another hit Only the Lonely.this video reminds me of MTV because of the TV exploding.it was used in a promo video of theirs.

This will probably always be my fave song ... it's actually their first single, even though it came out on MTV in the US after Sweet Dreams ... it's actually older, circa 1982 ... at least, iirc.
