opens with tribute to the GREAT Tom Petty
not sure who the singer is.
I should know, but dont.
Petty was one of the legends even before he died.

(32,111 posts)Hold onto your hat Elliot, you're in for a great evening. I attended the watch party at the Rock Hall.
Although I could have done without such a long rambling BS speech by Howard Stern introducing Bon Jovi. I can't stand Stern. Everything else awesome!

Weird, you would think they would understand the once in a lifetime shit that most of us would kill for, kind of annoying when they do that.
Anyway, not a fan of Bon Jovi but I get why they are so popular.
Moody Blues was the highlight for me along with the reminders of how important Nina and Rosetta are to our music.
YOU were THERE? Why? Who did you get to meet?

(65,230 posts)Same thing every year. Can't hear the guitar, then it's too damned loud. Can't hear the snare drum but the kick drums is moving vases on my piano. I see people singing harmonies but only hear two voices.
And i was really bummed at how The Cars sounded. I know Ben Orr wasn't there, but they've been one of my favorite bands for over 40 years and they were sloppy and didn't seem like they were into it.
Everything else on the show was pretty good though, aside from the audio; again!
