(4,443 posts)I don't get to see those animals in person, so I really appreciate good pictures of them.

(14,559 posts)the 'Homer' image from your other post. Put them in Paint Shop Pro and enlarged them to individual pixel peeping size. I see no difference between the two. 'Homer' has a very slight subject movement in his right rear foot--scratching I suppose-- but there's no difference in sharpness, exposure, contrast or color. The background on 'Homer' is more pleasing to me as it is darker but the pose here is a bit more appealing. You seem to have a nice front porch judging from the reflection in 'Homer's' eye--yeah I enlarged it that much.
It didn't need it but for fun I ran 'Homer' through Topaz Denoise at 5% and it increased the apparent sharpness of the hair. Not really visible until you get to the 'smell test'--that's when you put your nose so close to the image you can smell the ink.
Here's 'Homer' enlarged to show your front porch.

(9,879 posts)....i'm shirtless and shoeless in the left corner of the walkway, under the roofline, around the house but i don't think even topaz will make that visible.
i've been on the fence about topaz for a while because i've seen so many people abuse it and turn their images into detail free cartoons. but if you did that with a compressed jpg, i probably should give topaz a try...that's amazing.

(14,559 posts)focus and light (it's all about the light) it can be improved. If you find yourself using 60% noise reduction and 50% sharpening ya' need to get back to basics. You obviously don't have that issue.
Less is usually more in post but it can add just that bit of snap. It's all ones n zeros in the end, depends on which ones n zeros you you start with.
