Long distance macro. Spider warning.

I'm using my 40-150 f2.8 with the 1.4x (210mm) and on occasion using the digital 2x as well (420 mm) which is equivalent to 840mm on a full frame camera. Minimum focus distance is ~28 inches. With a little cropping for composition this is 1:1 or closer! Spider on a thistle blossom.

I do try to do some macro photos. I'm just a snapshotter and don't do too many adjustments, but I may try to capture the best I can to share with you.

Otherwise I've been using a Sony RX100M7 (compact/travel camera) for more night/landscape photos.

You should be able to get really nice closeups with the zoom all the way out. Most important is to have fun and amaze yourself!
