Jealous of the belted kingfisher. I have tons of photos of them but none of them are any good. I love watching these things dive for fish.

(256 posts)did you use to take these? If you don't mind me asking. I've been wanting to get a telephoto, but haven't yet. I have a Canon EOS 60D.

(1,418 posts)that ladder backed woodpecker is amazing.
I have four woodpeckers in the woods around my place-- three will come to the suet block: the downy, the hairy and the red bellied woodpecker.
the fourth is the pileated woodpecker.. I finally spotted one high on a tree last week-- does not come near the house.
