I like how the feather hits you right away, then the background slowly fills itself in.
Pure magic.

(14,910 posts)This was shot indoors; well indoors in that this was in an abandoned switching station for the Lehigh Valley Railroad.
The crumbling ceiling and 100 years of accumulating debris has created rubble along the floor several inches deep.
I have a number of photographs where the depth came through fantastically well today.
This was shot 50mm 1.8 f/5.6 ISO 800 1/60 at a probably 20 degrees.
The touch of light to the feather was a split second opportunity; the burst of photos for this set are nowhere near as complete as this one.
