I just NEEDED to shoot something with color! ;-)

It's been snowing here every other day, and although I think the snow is beautiful, and a nice challenge to photograph, I just had to shoot something with a little color. So I picked up a couple of roses the other day and . . .

The colors in that image just explode into the frame. Worthy of an ad for Ectachrome.

How did you achieve such clarity and focus?
I would give my left you know what for having ever taken a shot like this, but now I realize in my excitement over your genuinely breathtaking photograph I never had one to start with.
