I hope you're right-handed. That just sucks.

And pleurisy on top of that???

Good grief.

You are overdue for some very good luck for the foreseeable future.

Still, holding a camera has been less than pleasant. lol

I'll be fine. Just needed to whine. A little rest, a little heat, and a few pain-killers should get me through.

I've got a couple of drugs. Mostly for discomfort/pain/inflammation.

I'll be taking it easy for the next several days. SO said he'd water the garden for me.

I'm so very sorry. I too hope you are right handed. Memories flood back when I broke my upper arm (left - and I'm right handed) 2 years ago and just how much trouble that was. But I came back, and so will you.

Rest, read, take advantage, let them wait on you if at all possible, and see if you can find something positive.

Now I have to go and google pleurisy. I may have more words of wisdom after that.
I'm smiling but I'm not at all tickled.

I'm so sorry.

Just wanted to whine. I hit a rock while digging and my wrist just snapped. Very weird. (to me anyway)

I'm not happy. Do what the doctor's say. I rarely do and always regret it.

And now its vitamin D and Calcium and a bone scan, I bet.

The good news is that Halle my little female green singer finch bird got right over the fact I took away her non-fertile eggs, and she is already laying again. And Lujah is singing to keep her happy. Two eggs down, one every morning til it's 3 or 4 and then she sits again for a couple of weeks.

With your (real) name, I can name whatever hatches first after you. Male or female. Photos will follow.
RIGHT!

Pleurisy is surprisingly painful. I'll be taking it easy and following doctor's orders.

Because those things transmit the shock right into your wrist when you hit something. I hate them, always go with wood handles if I have a choice.

I didn't see that it was a rock and I kept plunging the trowel into the opening in the dirt. I heard the snap. Got sick at my tummy. I was trying to put up a little fence and needed to go several inches. I was using the narrow trowel. I've a wider one. The shovel would have been too big for the job. Got the fence up on Saturday. Had help. lol

Speaking from professional experience, good idea not becoming an archaeologist.
I've broken a lot of shit with a trowel, but never myself.

To be fair though, it was a very big rock. Maybe the trowel slipped. Clean break though. I guess that's a good thing.

I think the people that lived here before me planted rocks. I've collected enough rocks of various sizes and colors to line 2 of my neighbor's flower beds. Seriously, I filled my wheel barrow 3 times. I used some of them myself.

Rocks that were imported from outside the local environment. Eventually one of our bosses forbade us from using the term because she didn't like it. I don't know if she thought it was sexist or what, but she never did provide us with an alternative term to describe them.

that's really awful! I'm glad you are right handed though. I'm dealing with a problem with my right wrist and it is no fun when you are right handed. It's amazing how you don't realize how much you use your wrist until you can't use it.
Pleurisy hurts like heck. Please just take it easy this week so you'll get well!

When I was in my early 20's, I broke my left leg in 4 places (was in a cast for 7 months), so I know how much a pain that can be. At least you don't have to worry about having a super hairy leg when the cast comes off.

I also know that sometimes whining can make you feel better. Moaning sometimes helps too. Just lay on your couch and moan. You'll feel better.

She's a caregiver to her husband and we all worry about their well being. Being a caregiver can be incredibly stressful. So when they couldn't be reached, alarms went off. We are spread out all over the states and that made the search all the harder. Finally found them alive and well around midnight. They just didn't think to tell us they would be unavailable for a few days. Which is their right, of course. Still...whew. Long, long bad day.

I'm feeling better though. They couldn't find the cause though. Happens, though not often. Got full blood work, chest x-rays, and an EKG. I have outstanding insurance. (Thankfully)

I'll go for a follow-up with my primary next week.
