i bought a new camera for the times i dont want to lug around my nikon d600. i bought a sony nex-6. this weekend i took it to the end of the texas renassaince faire.. these are all shot with the nex-6 and a 50mm f1.8 lens.
the theme this weekend was a celtic christmas

(5,113 posts)this was the texas ren raire near houston held in october/november. there is also sherwood forest fire near austin held in feb/march
i go to trf and sherwood a lot. im a ren faire junkie. last year i was at sherwood almost every day and thisyear drove to trf 4 times even though its 185 miles from my house

Faire is the one I always went to when I lived in Houston....I remember it was October/November, because we learned not to go early weekends and to wait for late Oct. or Nov. because it was too danged hot when we went early. I always had such fun there. You must enjoy it to travel that far, and if I remember correctly, it was rather expensive to get in and to eat there.
I still have a hair wreath with long ribbons from the first one I went to decorating a wall. Your pictures make me miss the fun.

i have garb for the warm days as well as for colder days.

(4,483 posts)And a good camera choice. Sony is really proving itself as one of the most innovative players in the camera industry. I got to play with the new a7 for an afternoon this past Monday and it's really a game changer.
