Winter Contest reminder

Just a reminder folks - the Winter Contest starts on March 1. I know its a month away BUT February is a short month. So grab your gear and get out there - the winning photo is just waiting.....

If it hadn't snowed here, I was in a bad way for a winter shot.
Winter here is usually brown, bleak, and pretty boring.

I suppose the only teeny tiny bright spot is that I got a few photos out of it (but nothing I feel is to the level of being competitive in the contest).

and even though we have a steep driveway on a hill--which means we don't get out
until it melts--I still welcome it for the photo ops. I can just imagine some of the
magnificent snow landscapes we're going to see for the Winter contest.

I had a photo of something in my yard that I took when we had a snow storm earlier in the month. But, it was completely overcast.
Decided today to go out and see whether I'd get anything I liked better with shadows/sun/bright white snow. Went
out twice--came back in to put photos on the computer--and now it's going to be a tough choice.
