I recently went to California to visit an old friend of mine, and spent a few days in La Jolla, where we used to live. It has changed quite a bit since the old days, but is still such a lovely place. Sigh.

(20,886 posts)Netflix was streaming it... very soon after it aired. Can't imagine why. They're actually making a sequel.

Sure was different in those days! I went back for 40th reunion in 2009.
I was actually an inter-district transfer student, commuting from
Rancho Santa Fe...and it REALLY was different in RSF in those days.
Not being a California girl, I don't miss it. Went to UCLA for undergrad/grad
school, stayed in L.A. area, then left California--never looked back--in 1988. You couldn't pay
me to move back to CA. Although my Repub brother happily returned to Solana Beach
several years ago after living outside California for many years.
