I'm in a bit of a quandary as to what the first one it, though...Is it a fabric? Or lace? Dunno!

The second one is gorgeous. I love the shapes and the depth of field.

Thanks for sharing!

I was looking at the Canon PowerShot G1 X, but it's a limited release (so far) and a new design model, which made me a bit nervous. The PowerShot SX200 IS I bought a couple years back was also a new design, and has some bugs.

$100 more. It's a good solid camera. Steve Huff seems to like it a lot.

The Olympus EPL-1 is now selling for $300, but I'd also invest in the VF-2 or VF-3. The VF-2 is $250 and a better VF than the VF-3 ($175), but the VF-3 locks into place and will not fall off. The EPL-1 LCD sucks in bright light, so an EVF really comes in handy. It's kit lens has slow AF, and the sensor is meh in low light. All cameras have their shortcomings.

The Olympus EPM1 is getting good reviews, but it doesn't have a built in flash or a grip.

My next camera will be the Olympus EP-3 body. They aren't offering the body just yet, so I will wait. I am going to pick up a Panny 14mm or their nice 20mm this summer. Of course if I can snag the new OM out of Olympus, I will. Neither one will make me a better photographer, only a poorer photographer.

Oly has in body IS, the Panny doesn't.

The Sony NEX 5n is getting great reviews, and will give superior image quality over the M4/3 offerings above. The downside is lens choice, lack of EVF, and it is butt ugly.

Man, isn't that the truth. I'm a bit in awe of some of the folks here who have $4-$5,000 camera bodies.

I decided to get the Nikon D5100 that's on sale at the local Costco; it's gotten very good reviews, and the price was right.

I'm liking it, but I have a lot to learn.
