Frontline or Plow and Hearth, maybe. Its basically a plastic dish for pots held in a metal frame. the thing in it is a ceramic insulator scavenged when a tree took down one of our power poles. PG&E just left them there, and being a collector of interesting junk, I snapped up two of them. They offer a shallow place for the birds and bees to drink.

I think it's a really neat looking bird bath. Most are rather blah looking.

I have one of those metal frames for a planter pot - I need to look for something to turn it into a bird bath. Thanks for the inspiration!

quizzical look, I think.

We saw something unusual the other day - a redheaded woodpecker feeding a hairy woodpecker. I've never seen one species of bird feed another.

My husband asked me if the smaller bird was a baby but they are obviously very different bird species.

I said it was a redheaded woodpecker and it was actually a yellow-bellied sapsucker....still a different species, though.
