Those are very handsome photos.



The first one is also good, but it lacks the symmetry of the others.

the shoreline, the stump and the two cypress move the eye to the Cypress at the point.

Still for me, it was what the light was doing. It removed detail, simplifying the image. It gave the illusion of mist.

I need to practice using UFRAW.

I could also set up a light box and do some still life.

What is keeping you in? I hope it isn't bad health, or injury. My bad health put me out of the DU loop, at least with the creative souls in the Photogroup.

and love your photos... I have not had my camera out until recently... I am back to work and hopefully will find more that catches my eye...

today hiking at Ravine Gardens State Park in Palatka, Florida... a marvelous, beautiful park created by the CCC (damn why don't we bring that back??)

I wish I'd known about this park: my now deceased father-in-law lived in Palatka
some 30+ years ago. We visited him there, once, years ago, but I don't remember
him suggesting we take a walk through this park.
