And by now, that has to number around 100, I have never seen it from the water, although when you go over the bridge, you do get one of those fabulous views similar to what you posted.

I only saw it a few times from the water. That was when I took the little boat tethered on a wire that ferries people across using the current to move it. I never had a camera with me before the other day though.

In fact, I'd just like to go to Europe, period! Maybe stay there Let's see, in the past week we've had photos from Provence, Ibiza, Basel...all places now on my go see before I die list.

Hmm, where else would it be nice to see photos from?...Tuscany, Prague, the Dolomite Mountains. Scottish Highlands, the Cyclades, Malta, Norway...just for starts!

Baslers would enter the river at Rheinpark (sometimes with their clothes double-wrapped in plastic bags) then drift with the current. You'd see people in swimming togs walking back through town along the river back to the park.
