Yes, when the fog comes in this way it initially comes in on a very narrow front. n/t Adsos Letter Oct 2014 #14

In this instance it was funneling in right through the bridge. At the water's edge it was probably about 60-65 degrees; go over those hills in the far background, and temps are in the 90's.

It's funny, it's in the low 80s here in FL but as soon as I saw the first pic I got a chill down my spine, because I know just how chilly it feels to stand there & take those pics.

I loved going to the top of Mt Tam & watching he fog roll in as the sun was setting. There were times when the only thing I could see was Sutro tower sticking up out of the fog. It was like being above the clouds.

Here is a link to some shots I posted a couple of years back. We were on top of Mt. Tam at just the right time. Hope you enjoy them.

I'm trying to get involved in the Photo Group again, but I'm going to have to make time to focus on getting some good shots to share.

A friend from Romania (via Switzerland, where she now lives and works) came over for my youngest daughter's wedding, and stayed with us for two weeks. It was her first trip to the US, and we took her to Yosemite, Muir Woods, San Francisco, etc.

I hoped to find lots of pics to post but it seems that just about all of the photos have at least one member of our family or friends in them, and I'm a bit hesitant to put them up.

Anyway...this gives me a good excuse to get out with my camera while the weather is still good.

Yeah, I'm reluctant to post family members.

I need to get to some places for some photos. I don't live in a particularly pretty area of Louisiana. It's small, rural, and just plain plain.

They dated for a couple of years, and they do appear made for each other. We've spent quite a bit of time with his family, and we mesh very well.

One thing to remember about "just plain plain:" It may be old hat and plain to you...but to someone who has not been there it is bound to be at least somewhat interesting simply because it's a new experience.

We live short drives from some incredibly beautiful areas in northern California, but the area immediately around our home isn't particularly nice: brown hills (a beautiful, velvety green during winter after the rain, but during Summer/Fall they are dead/dry brown grass, with few trees or shrubs to break the monotony).

Still, our friend from overseas was enthralled by the whole thing. Every time I ruefully apologized for the lack of beauty she just said "Yes, but it's different... ."

I was really stretching to find something to make these pedestrian shots a bit more interesting.

The second one also brings back shoebox memories.

Shoeboxes were for those didn't want to buy a, or several, photo books, then spend way too many hours arranging, then affixing the photos to the book. Shoeboxes
