It looks like a great park to go hiking and your photo is really clear to see the motivation message for all of us!

(22,756 posts)and then my daughter brought to my attention the woman hiker who has been all over the West defacing rocks...
I did find the small drawing I captured cute and delightful but do not condone gross defacing of natural areas

(18,219 posts)but if the "defacing" is discreet and not on any significant formations, I would not have a problem with it. I do agree that there are serious problems with defacing areas of petroglyphs or the walls on a trail on the Grand Canyon, but some things just make people smile. And there are a lot of ordinary rocks all over the place.

(46,436 posts)which is a felony, I believe. I doubt that anyone really cares about little rocks like this, and it's a cute message.

(15,812 posts)I am originally from San Antonio and was not familiar with this park, but certainly familiar with hill country terrain around Boerne. How wonderful to have this park! I will try to visit the next time I am there. May also take the Mission Trail again, see the aqueduct, etc. I think I can do without the Alamo, LOL.
This tiny little graffiti is okay with me, especially since the message is positive. I am in West Seattle right now and hope I get a chance to get some photos of the fabulous graffiti in Schmitz Park while I am here.

(22,756 posts)and... if you get back to San Antonio.... today my daughter and I hiked Government Canyon State Natural Area in the NorthWest of town... I did about 8+ miles of the 'Back Country' trails... too hot today to do more it was a real treat... a haven just outside the way too busy city. We actually are staying downtown and River Walk is just too crazy for me but I sure admire the architects of the beautiful walkways!
....headed to the Mission Trail on my bike tomorrow
