When I owned a house, in DC, we had 2 great ones, one 'umbrella,' but they became diseased and we sold the house. I'm happy to have this variety here, in friend's suburban neighborhood.

underside of the leaf is exposed. It also produces sugar like the Sugar Maple, but not as much.
