Three from my walk.

Last edited Sun Apr 15, 2012, 12:05 AM - Edit history (1)

Today I set my camera to Monotone, of course I forgot to change from RAW to Jpeg. The images displayed B&W, but when uploaded to my computer, they were in color. No big thing, converted in post. Thinking I was shooting in B&W "colored" my approach to my subjects.

BTW, the John in John's New Classic Shoes is one of the good guys. He did a lot to bring the sport of running to this town.

I added another image. I used GreyStoration on that third image.

My favorite? The last one - flowers in vase. I like the separation the blurred "bar" makes to the composition of the photo. My eye is drawn to the flowers, then down to the vase with it's wonderful reflection.

I love empty benches, and it was a good choice to make an empty bench black and white. Of course my favorite empty benches have birds on them.

I'm not even sure I know how to take black and white photos...I just take them in color with the idea that I might convert them. Sometimes I want a bare hint of color and I wouldn't have a choice if I didn't have color.
