(8,310 posts)My parents lived in Los Osos in their retirement years and I have hiked the eucalyptus forest and enjoyed the flower fields but I sure don't recall ever seeing anything like these. Except maybe that last one. Thanks for sharing and stirring some memories.

(20,886 posts)They were outside the orchid place. I suspect the owner, or former owner, planted them many moons ago. I've been checking out flowering African trees, but still haven't found a match.
I'd move to Los Osos in a heartbeat if I had money to move. The weather there is perfect.
