The Bay Bridge one I quite like also. If you cropped it, you could enter it in the contest! People like pictures of bridges, especially impressive ones!

(7,347 posts)When I went to California, I forgot my little internet terminal, and wasn't on the web for a couple months. I got used to not being online, and to tell the truth, I didn't really miss it! The feeling continued when I came home. Then I got in a hassle with my apartment complex "manager" (what a piece of work he was) who accused me of hit and running his truck in the parking lot. (I didn't). So he proceeded to try to evict me. I wrote the landlord my side and then just kinda hunkered up. I was going to fight it.
Finally it was resolved. HE got fired and evicted himself! Pure karma, it couldn't have happened to a more deserving jerk. Now we have new management and it feels like heaven. Although... he had changed the lock to the storage area, said some lie about the fire marshall forbidding people going in the storage room. New managers had trouble getting the keys from him. Finally it was opened up, went in and he had cut away the chicken wire cage my stuff was in and everything of value was gone. He left a box of video tapes, some picture frames, and my ironing board (I figure he couldn't get any money for that stuff). I lost ALL my Christmas stuff, including heirloom items from my late mother. A 1959 aluminum tree in its original box worth over a hundred dollars, old ornaments going back not only to my childhood but my mother's childhood! Needlepoint stockings, tools, all gone. Luckily I have renter's insurance and you bet I filed a police report on HIM! I'm getting madder as I write this, I haven't heard back from insurance yet (what kind of monetary value is put on something of sentimental value?) So the hassles continue.
I just was not in the mood to post, or even go out and take pictures, dealing with this. But now I feel so relieved that jerk is gone and I really feel a totally guilt free sense of schadenfreude about it! He took things from me that cannot be replaced and he was accusing me of a crime!
(on edit) P.S., your doggie half chihuahua? That's an interesting combo. My uncle in SF has 4 of them (well the cutest one is half dachshund also) and you can call them all pills too!
