Related: About this forumsunset, moonrise
the supermoon rose a few minutes after sunset yesterday, so i made the husband take me on a photo excursion to the grasslands east of town.
we got out there way earlier than we needed to, so i fussed a bit.
hazy from the fires out west
at this point, i turned my attention to the east, but nothing was happening. so i listened to the coyotes yip and fussed some more
and then, all of a sudden, it emerged from the haze
best shot of the night, but we were both playing with the camera and don't know which one of us got this
i'm so thankful that the husband is so indulgent of my hobby.

(149,681 posts)These are just wonderful.
The close-up of the barbed wire was incredible. A great shot.
And your moon photos are great too.
Thanks for sharing!

(24,146 posts)i have the world's supply of landscape and flower shots, but i rarely shoot "stuff" and need to expand my field of vision.
it was nice to be just me and my husband in the middle of nowhere for a few hours.
