I'm sorry she's gone.

But she had good innings! She was 13 when she died, which is pretty old for a big dog.

We rescued Snowy not long after Mouse passed away. She thought it was pretty fun to have her very own kitty--Simba--but it took him a while to warm up to her. Simba joined his brother, Mouse, at the Rainbow Bridge in 2012.

Tried posting this earlier from my cell phone but for some reason it cut the size in half. No clue as to why, as the link is the same.

She had the power to cause me to feel foolish with a look.

But he could exhibit a look.

The lady who owned him had to be hovering around 80. It cracked me up that she named him Thor.

At the LA County Fair the summer before last. It was a big deal because he was born during the fair. I want a baby donkey! I'll take real good care of it. He can sleep in my room.

What happens when he grows up and wants the bed to himself?

They're very smart!

dozens of them, and this morning it sounded like they were doing work on my house!

We call eachother back and forth when I go out.

The can remember threatening (mean, scary faces) human faces and pass that knowledge on....even to their young. Who will also consider you a bad person.

Very smart birds.

Have seen a pbs documentary about them.

'Mine' are too skittish/flighty to enable us to exchange threatening expressions. DARN!

I make sure they have corn and shiny objects.

corn GROWS here, about 1/2 mile away, so they've been well taken care of.
