I still develop my own film occasionally, because it gives me a thrill to buy cameras that were unobtanium to me when I was a kid for pennies on the dollar, but the darkroom is long gone. I once had enlargers, shelves of chemicals, the whole works.

I also enjoy Polaroid chemistry occasionally. It's magic I've always appreciated.

Even my friend who still practices large format 4X5 and 8X10 film photography, occasionally with very sophisticated film chemistries, doesn't have his own darkroom anymore, sharing a place with others, operating in a way that would be very familiar to ham radio guys or hackerspace members.

I miss the darkroom, the smell of the Chema and that burnt smell of the enlarger.

I have a Sears KSX 1000. I bought it for the lens. It is Ricoh rebranded.
