(20,886 posts)I try so hard to keep people out of my shots. But there are times when they are the perfect addition. The person and the umbrella just finish the unwritten narrative of this shot.

(10,136 posts)Last month(?) all the gum on the Gum Wall was removed. It was over six inches deep in some places.

(46,436 posts)And the gum wall is already gummy again, although not five inches thick...yet. The girl in the coffee shop there said the chemicals smelled terrible when they were cleaning it off. She'd rather have the gum.

(7,911 posts)A single person, in the distance or middle distance, very often serves as an important center of interest. I often try to include a human figure somewhere in my pix. I seldom get one this nice, though. Well done.

(46,436 posts)Honestly, I didn't even realize she was there when I took the shot. I just liked the wet pavement and the graffiti on the wall. Serendipity.

(86,647 posts)Haven't been there in some time. Nice composition! Even if there was some serendipity involved... I feel that there is some of that in every good picture.
