Another animal--at breakfast.
We were leaving and I decided to take a look over the other side of the restaurant. When we were here last summer we'd seen an iguana crawl out from under
the structure while we were eating.
This morning there were FIVE iguanas on the rocks. This guy was the BIG ONE.
He must have been at least 3-4 feet long.

(31,394 posts)Using my little Canon point and shoot--always in my handbag--standing up on the deck of the restaurant shooting this guy who was probably 20? feet away. Focusing in/out,
trying to get enough detail, but not be so zoomed that it would be out of focus because it was hand held.
I really like the texture of his features.

(20,886 posts)20'! It's a great shot.
If I were to process that shot, I would sharpen his head and front quarters and add a little vignette. Naw, I would add a big vignette and overdo it.

(31,394 posts)I am learning how to edit--what to sharpen--how not to overdo. I am a real novice. Doesn't help that I lost my Canon software
when my laptop died and decided to go with Linux--which doesn't support Canon software--so I'm really feeling my way with
a new, basic editing program.

(18,219 posts)but gotta give you credit for the close up, especially after seeing that you did this with a point and shoot from 20 feet away. Impressive.
