birds,birds and more birds

went to port aransas 2 weeks ago. got a few bird shots . got a couple more in austin. I didnt have my big lens with me so these are taken with a 24-240 on a full frame camera (the port a shots) or an 18-200 on a crop sensor in austin

caspian tern

baltimore oriole

western tanager

scarlet tanager

rose breasted grosbeak

great blue heron taking off

these guys were in a purple martin house in austin

California's LBBs are so boring compared to these guys. I occasionally get a tanager coming through, but other wise it's LBBs.

i keep talking about taking a roat trip to the coast just to shoot birds but havent gotten around to it
