Grand Canyon shots

from my son and his partner on their cross country road trip. That's my son holding the camera...

He posted on fb that the Nikon he was using (which belongs to his partner, Mike) "dumped" all his Grand Canyon photos. Ack! He is the tech savvy
son and he figured out a "script" to recover the photos---and did--you can see more Grand Canyon on his blog here, if interested.

They also said they were getting a new memory card immediately for the Nikon!

Sadly, I only had a little point-n-shoot on our visit to the South Rim. I couldn't really get the shots I wanted with a little 5mp camera, but I have a lot of them!

it's just as I remember it. That rainbow over the Canyon is like icing on cake or a dotted I. A photo to keep and treasure and it will always tell you that indeed you were at one of the wonders of the world.
My one time at the Grand Canyon, in my approach to the North Rim, through the forest, I saw bits peeking through the stems of the trees in our ascent. I asked my companion to stop and crept through a barrier towards where the colorful bits were beckoning. Suddenly I stood at the rim. My knees buckled and I could no longer stand. Tears ran down. And I felt like I had come home.

and how great that he could recover the photos! Will return for more viewing of his shots (after I've left my GRAND place - for the day.)
