Related: About this forumJUNE contest. Post ideas!
I'd like to get a theme in place so people can start shooting or going through their archives ASAP. I'll decide on a theme based on suggestions in a couple of days and post a submission thread mid month so as not to overlap with the Spring contest.
My schedule is such that I need to have the winners thread up by June 28 before I head back to NYC.
Thanks all!

(20,886 posts)Do something arty. Must start with a photo, but after that, anything goes.
Congratulations. That was a great shot.

(8,976 posts)Not B&W but rather a very limited palette with free use of light and shade and the full range of the colors chosen?

(90,787 posts)I like NV Whino's idea of freeforall.
Also, maybe a view from downunder - beneath objects...underside of piers, tables, rock hangings, hedgerows/shrubs, flowers, bottom of glass up, etc.. if that makes sense.

(27,453 posts)How about something like "A Different Point of View" or an "Unusual Perspective "
Then be creative with it.

(31,464 posts)Give a unique perspective on the ubiquitous selfie. It doesn't have to include a face-shot of the photographer, not a regular selfie-stick b.s.. Rather, something which reflects the photographer and what he/she is about.
It could be fun in that it would be creative, and also give DUers some unique looks into the lives of our fellow photography buffs.
Maybe I'm thinking too artsy, but I think it make for some cool images.
