first set of images from Death Valley NP....
Kathy and I really enjoy spending holidays out in the southern California desert. We spent Thanksgiving week in Death Valley NP, camped up in Hanaupah Canyon. I took a bunch of photos. Here are some of the first out of the camera:
Our Hanaupah Canyon camp, with the view of the Funeral Mtns, or at least the Amargosa Range, with Death Valley below. We have asked a lot of that Ford Ranger over its lifetime. This was a rocky off road climb.
Alkali stream in Badwater Basin.
The view over Death Valley from Dante's View on a cold, blustery, and partially overcast day. Our Hanaupah Canyon camp is on the bajada just opposite.
I was racing the sunset along Badwater Road, having already missed the last light at Artist's Palette. This is what I got.

Number 3 is my favorite, really knocked me back when it rolled up on the screen. 
I'm no Pro, but I think this is really nice work
Death Valley is such a great place to photograph, but it's so big. More time. Please, more time.
...but truthfully, I have lots of favorite places.
