Related: About this forumThinking ahead on the January contest....
These are the dates I am thinking of:
Announce the topic on Dec 27 or 28
Open submissions on Jan 15
Start voting on Jan 22, end finals on Jan 28.
I am very open to ideas for a January theme.
Since it is January, I am thinking "A New Beginning".

After the dip into darkness in December, the light slowly returns.
Winter light is incredible, find beauty there.

(60,078 posts)7. I told a person that everything flows from composition, but
without light you have nothing.
ManiacJoe
(10,136 posts)8. That is a good one.
Not sure if January is any more noticeably brighter than December, but a good concept.

(60,078 posts)9. We can pretend it's brighter.

5-1/2 hours of daylight now, 6-1/2 by mid-January. Still not much.
