Haven't been here much lately, or anywhere else on DU. When I was I tended to be a bit, well, dickish. So this is sorta' by way of apology.
Yeah, I know it doesn't look like much but ya' gotta' understand there are extenuating circumstances. See, I provide daycare for my grand children the youngest of which is two. Those of you with young children or good memories know what that means.
This is what the rest of the world sees:
Of course I lover her dearly but she does present "issues" for serious photography. I often look at that pile of cameras that represents $ thousands and say, " I should take a pic . . . Kate! Put that down! Spit it out NOW," and she can go from 0 to wall-eyed screamin' tantrum in 1.5 seconds.
Which is to say this is what I deal with daily:
Found Nana's lipstick she did.
Anyway, I really am sorry for any insults or hurt feelings.
Two fingers of Maker's Mark in the evening helps.

(22,758 posts)as for the grand-daughter... (from a mother of 5 - now grown) I would suggest that the important things in life (and photography) are the lipstick paint and off guard moments... the portrait is sweet but I find more joy in the lipstick painted imp!!
Celebration

The youngster.
The "after" picture is before the "before", picture.....
...or is it.

(14,895 posts)And each and everyone of your photos here is extraordinary.
The red peppers "pop", and your "sweet" granddaughter verses her (ahem) creative side is not only precious but realistic!
Please post when ever you can . . . we have missed you
