I especially like the fourth one that shows the bee in mid-flight!

Of course, they are all wonderful.

Thanks for sharing.

The rain was brutal to my bee balm so while I was working on it some more today, I had fun with the bees.

It's huge though and fighting its way back. I trimmed and staked and got it all back into place.

They bloom in other colors but by backyard is mostly purple and yellow flowers.

It takes two years for one to bloom and they grow up to 6 feet plus wide. About 36-48 inches high. Mine is 3 years old.

Thanks!

Slightly off-topic but here's an RT song that might work with the photographs:

I think there were 5 or so. I get a lot of bees. Not honey bees unfortunately. I get very few of those. I get a lot of carpenter bees and a few bumble bees.

I do get a lot of red wasps.

Butterflies have been on the lean side so far.

The hummers attack the bee balm often.

Thankfully, the barn swallows help keep the mean bug element down.

Well, them and the spiders I encourage.

Got frogs, toads, anoles and geckos for any flies.

I also plant marigolds, peppermint, and lavender to repel bugs.

Basil works too and I have several pots of that. Some I'll dry, some I'll use fresh, and some I'll leave for the bugs.

The only thing anyone can say about my "garden" is that small animals love it. It's not pretty really...

the colors are aiding mightily in the presentation. Great combination. And beautiful, dance-like photos.

repairing the damage.

The bees didn't seem to mind the sprawl of the bee balm.
