Everything is done in my garden except the banana peppers and a patch of Italian parsley.

Squashes have such beautiful flowers, don't they?

The Sweet Dumpling squash is done. I planted pumpkins, but got nothing but spectacular blossoms. I might try again, next year.

What variety of squash is it? I love squash and I'm on a cooking binge with my latest find, yummy Delicata squash. I'm going to roast them with chopped pecans, brown sugar, maple syrup, and cinnamon for dessert.

Don't think they're going to last to the end of October.

i have watermelons rotting in the field, and it breaks my heart. Bumper crop, 3 different kinds and they're all huge.

Still have tomatoes, green beans, and black-eyed peas, a few squash. And my god---the GOURDS! They are like the gourds that ate NY. Should have enough for projects for next 5 years.
