The sunlight behind the church really sets it off.

Truly stunning!

Thanks for letting us see it...

have this same look! Gorgeous no matter where it was taken.

edit: Plus the house is very chalet-like....as in Zermatt.

... the results weren't conclusive. The writing could be cyrillic, but it also looks very much like "Alpern Nick," which would tend to support your supposition.

not Photoshop, but you have to wonder how much time the photographer spent scouting the location and determining the right time of day then waiting for the conditions which produced this stunning photo. If it's a testimony to anything it's to patience, perseverance and creative vision.

How do you get a while building in sunset with the sun in back of the church. Also, what is with the red lights in the window of the building to the left of the church.

Yes, I chase rainbows and storm endings. It takes time, fuel, a lot of disappointment. But when I hit it right, worth every expenditure.

I do think that he probably did some touch ups in Photoshop because the properties of the image also notes that Photoshop CS5 was used. However, I think it's as "real" as any picture out there. It probably didn't look like that to the naked eye. But neither do a lot of astronomy pictures or other artistic photography!

and how come the church is so bright, but I also have to wonder if the rainbow is really a lens flare? What do you think Jack?

I'm hardly a photographer though so I don't know if those red areas would fit with what you all are saying.

But at least the photographer left the CS5 identification properties in the image, so it's not like they were hiding that it was manipulated.
