EDIT: I have edited this to add the original shot. I thought this was a good example of how an image can be mined by cropping, b&w treatment, or the use of selective color. There were lots of elements I could have focused on in the original image, and it's obvious that I've done a lot of post-processing manipulation. I do like the original image as is with the exception of the doorway on the far right.
Thoughts?

I tried a couple of different crops, and using the control points in the Silver Efex program:

Personally, I like #2 best.

(22,380 posts)but I like number 2 best like you do. I would take a bit off the top, to exclude the button on the shirt. That photo is really telling a tale. A Keeper.

(19,459 posts)I didn't see the button as a distraction, until it wasn't there. Removing it does help focus the eye on the central elements of the photo.
