...at the moon, in all its phases.

We have 2 sets of windows on either side of the chimney to our fireplace, long ones and short ones. The shorter ones are nearer to the ceiling, and often provide a perfect “picture frame” for the moon, if I am looking at just the right moment. It delights me every time it happens.

We have a few windows like that, but nothing that artistic. They sound truly wonderful.

I have a chart that tells me where and when the moon will be visible and I use that to track it.

I'm always thrilled when it appears.

I don't know where you're located, but I had to stay up a bit late to catch this. It was around 10 pm here in California.

I really appreciate your very kind remarks.

Here's the link that I use to find the moon times:

https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/usa/los-angeles

As you can see, it can be adapted for any location. I feel lucky to be able to track the moon so easily.

Right now we are the same, in the fall when you change times I will be an hour later than you are. Arizona is one of two states that don’t change times. Hawaii is the other 🌜

It's crazy!

But you can adapt the chart for your own time zone so the times will be accurate.

It's quite addicting!

I'd thought I would miss it, since the clouds looked unforgiving. But suddenly they parted and the moon shone out so brilliantly!

I was thrilled.

I always crop these photos so the object shows up more clearly.

I love doing something other than the "normal" square. Off center is just who I am!

Elegant use of negative space to balance Luna. My eyes are drawn to the moon then back to the empty space. Nicely done.

I like your analysis. The off balance aspect was something I did deliberately.

But I can't analyze it the way you did. My brain just doesn't work that way!

I see any number of options in cropping and this one just looked really good to me. Since I always crop, I had lots of choices.

This is the one that spoke to me, viscerally.

Thank you, again.
